The Los Angeles Lakers are stationed at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California. They have a long line of great players such as, Wilt Chamberlain, Kareem Abdul-Jabar, Magic Johnson, and some new faces like Shaquille O'Neal and Kobe Bryant.

Last year the Lakers won the Championship. This of course, was not without hardships. They found themselves losing in the 4th quarter to the Portland Trailblazers in Game 7 of the Western Conference Championship. They rallied, led by Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O'Neal, and went on to the finals. There, they beat the Indiana Pacers to become the champions. Shaquille O'Neal was named the MVP, but it was a true team effort. Shaq, along with his side-kick Kobe, were helped out by stars like Brian Shaw, A.C. Green, Ron Harper, Derek Fisher, Glen Rice, Travis Knight, Robert Horry, Rick Fox.
